CD133, also known as prominin-1, is a pentaspan transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a role in cell signaling, cytoskeleton rearrangement, and protein trafficking, and is associated with stemness, cell proliferation, migration, and survival, particularly in the context of cancer stem cells and tumorigenesis.
Flow cytometric analysis of human PBMC (human peripheral blood mononuclear cell) labelling Human CD133 antibody at 1/200 dilution (1 μg) / (Red) compared with a Mouse monoclonal IgG (Black) isotype control and an unlabelled control (cells without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody) (Blue). Goat Anti - Mouse IgG Alexa Fluor® 488 was used as the secondary antibody. Then cells were stained with CD45 - PE/Cy7 separately. Gated on total viable cells.
