Ly-6G protein is a GPI (glycosylphosphatidylinositol)-anchored protein. Ly-6G is primarily expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, and T cells. It plays a crucial role in inhibiting anti-tumor efficacy and T-cell responses. Due to its specific expression on neutrophils, Ly-6G has been widely used as a surface marker in flow cytometry, cell sorting, and immune phenotyping experiments. Unique expression of Ly-6G in bone marrow indicates its involvement in hematopoietic microenvironment, potentially regulating the development or function of immune cells within the bone marrow niche.
Flow cytometric analysis of Mouse Ly-6G/Ly-6C (Gr-1) expression on C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow. C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow were stained with Brilliant Violet 510™ Rat Anti-Mouse CD11b antibody and SDT Biotin Rat Anti-Mouse Ly-6G/Ly-6C (Gr-1) Antibody at 0.1 μg/test followed by Sav-PE. Flow cytometry and data analysis were performed using BD FACSymphony™ A1 and FlowJo™ software.
