This antibody recognizes the same epitope as clone XMG1.2. Interferon-gamma (IFNγ) is a cytokine produced by activated T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, playing a crucial role in immune responses with various biological activities such as antiviral, anti-tumor, and immune-regulatory effects. IFNγ can induce the synthesis of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase, which is involved in the catabolism of tryptophan, and promote the production of nitric oxide (NO), potentially related to the occurrence or protective role in certain neurological diseases. Additionally, IFNγ is also a key player in tumor immunotherapy, as it can enhance the cytotoxic effects by promoting the migration of immune cells to the tumor microenvironment (TME), thereby limiting tumor growth.
