TNF receptor-associated factor 2 (TRAF2) is a multifunctional protein that plays a crucial role in mediating signal transduction from members of the TNF receptor superfamily. It is a 56 kDa trimeric protein, consisting of a globular C-terminal TRAF domain and an extended coiled-coil N-terminal region. TRAF2 acts as both an adaptor protein and an E3 ubiquitin ligase, facilitating the activation of downstream signaling pathways such as the JNK/c-Jun and IKK/NF-κB pathways in response to TNFα stimulation. It directly interacts with TNF receptors and forms complexes with other TRAF proteins, such as TRAF1, to mediate anti-apoptotic signals and inhibit caspase activation. Additionally, TRAF2 is involved in various physiological processes, including cell survival, proliferation, and stress responses, and it has been implicated in cancer progression and immune regulation.

ICC shows positive staining in HEK293 cells. Anti-TRAF2 antibody was used at 1/500 dilution (Green) and incubated overnight at 4°C. Goat polyclonal Antibody to Rabbit IgG - H&L (Alexa Fluor® 488) was used as secondary antibody at 1/1000 dilution. The cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with 0.1% PBS-Triton X-100. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Counterstain with tubulin (Red).
