SLFN5 (Schlafen family member 5) is a protein-coding gene that belongs to the Schlafen family, which is involved in various biological processes such as cell cycle regulation, immune response, and viral infection. SLFN5 has been identified as a regulator of cell motility and invasion in renal cell carcinoma, and its expression is associated with poor prognosis in colorectal adenocarcinoma. Additionally, SLFN5 acts as a restriction factor against herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) infection by suppressing viral transcription. It is also regulated by the androgen receptor in castration-resistant prostate cancer.
WB result of SLFN5 Rabbit pAb
Primary antibody: SLFN5 Rabbit pAb at 1/1000 dilution
Lane 1: A549 whole cell lysate 20 µg
Lane 2: T-47D whole cell lysate 20 µg
Lane 3: LNCaP whole cell lysate 20 µg
Lane 4: A431 whole cell lysate 20 µg
Secondary antibody: Goat Anti-rabbit IgG, (H+L), HRP conjugated at 1/10000 dilution
Predicted MW: 101 kDa
Observed MW: 100 kDa
ICC shows positive staining in A431 cells. Anti- SLFN5 antibody was used at 1/500 dilution (Green) and incubated overnight at 4°C. Goat polyclonal Antibody to Rabbit IgG - H&L (Alexa Fluor® 488) was used as secondary antibody at 1/1000 dilution. The cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with 0.1% PBS-Triton X-100. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Counterstain with tubulin (Red).
