AQR/IBP160 protein, also known as Aquarius homolog or Intron-binding protein of 160 kDa, is a spliceosomal intron-binding protein involved in pre-mRNA splicing and small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein (snoRNP) biogenesis. It links the position-dependent assembly of intron-encoded box C/D snoRNPs to pre-mRNA splicing, playing a key role in the folding of snoRNA sequences. This protein has ATP-dependent RNA helicase activity and can unwind double-stranded RNA molecules with a 3' overhang. It binds to introns of pre-mRNAs in a sequence-independent manner, contacting the region between snoRNA and the branchpoint of introns during the late stages of splicing.

Lane 1: HeLa whole cell lysate 20 µg
Lane 2: HEK-293 whole cell lysate 20 µg
Lane 3: HepG2 whole cell lysate 20 µg
Secondary antibody: Goat Anti-rabbit IgG, (H+L), HRP conjugated at 1/10000 dilution

Observed MW: 180 kDa
ICC shows positive staining in HepG2 cells. Anti- AQR/IBP160 antibody was used at 1/500 dilution (Green) and incubated overnight at 4°C. Goat polyclonal Antibody to Rabbit IgG - H&L (Alexa Fluor® 488) was used as secondary antibody at 1/1000 dilution. The cells were fixed with 100% ice-cold methanol and permeabilized with 0.1% PBS-Triton X-100. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Counterstain with tubulin (Red).
