TCR Vα2 is a distinct TCR subfamily found in mice with a, b, and c haplotypes. It is a variable region of the T cell receptor (TCR) that plays a crucial role in recognizing antigens bound to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules. The TCR Vα2 subfamily is often expressed in both CD4 and CD8 subsets of T cells, although its expression can be skewed to CD8 cells when combined with certain TCR β-chain transgenes. It is also involved in the positive selection of CD8+ T cells in the thymus.
Flow cytometric analysis of C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes labelling Mouse TCR Vα2 antibody at 1/2000 (0.1 μg) dilution/ (Right panel) compared with a Rat IgG2a, κ Isotype Control / (Left panel). Goat Anti-Rat IgG Alexa Fluor® 647 was used as the secondary antibody. Then cells were stained with CD3 - Brilliant Violet 421™ Antibody separately.
